Beauty Technicians was founded on December 22, 2015, by Olive Krofah after relocating from Atlanta, Georgia, to Accra, Ghana. Motivated by a vision to elevate the standard of hairdressing in the city, Olive established the salon with a mission to train and empower passionate women to bring that vision to life.
Within its first year, the salon welcomed three dedicated team members and experienced rapid growth, leading to a relocation to a larger space in 2018. During this period, Beauty Technicians launched its signature assistant training programme, pairing assistants with master stylists for hands-on learning and mentorship. This initiative has successfully equipped assistants to transition into commission-based stylists, maintaining the salon’s commitment to quality and consistency.
Over the years, Beauty Technicians has expanded its clientele, services, and team while earning industry recognition, including the Hairstylists of the Year award at the Ghana Beauty Awards.
